For Want of a Physicist

For Want of a Physicist is a book I wrote while I was in high school. As such, I am no longer that proud of the prose. However, it could certainly be worse, and I'm still satisfied with the story; besides, FWoaP was the first novel I finished. It was the first thing I wrote that people paid for. And it was the first thing I wrote that got people I didn't know very well to look at me funny.

FWoaP is not a book for everyone, though. It's a meandering journey of self-discovery, but it's also a love story. The central relationship in this book is incestuous, and other potentially triggering topics are discussed. Of note: a really clumsy attempt at a nonbinary character.

Before he's realized it, Ford is on a journey of self-discovery through some of the weirdest realities he's ever heard of, one of his friends turns out to be a witch, and he keeps running into other versions of himself who insist on making out with his brother.

Compared to all that, being unemployed and having family drama seems like a real treat.
